Each new stroke can grow only through space that earlier strokes have left open; contact turns its route and raises its color from cyan toward gold and pale cream. The crowded lines form a compressed arch along the left of a tilted black pocket. Below it, short hooks and long interrupted runners find unequal ways out toward the bottom and right edges.
