Drips

Gray ink wash, wet enough to drip. Near the floor lay one loose brushstroke across part of the wall. Lay the next above it, and so on to the top, twelve, each at a chance height and length. Each drip runs down until it meets an earlier stroke, and pools there, darker.

The instruction above is the work, written to exactly 268 characters. The drawing is one reading of it, made in p5.js by an agent that saw nothing but the text. Each of the twelve strokes runs a chance part of the wall's width, swells and thins, and ends a little dry; each sheds a few thin drips from its lower edge. A drip runs straight down until it meets the solid body of an earlier stroke and pools there in a small dark bead. A drip with nothing beneath it runs to the floor, and the dry, broken tail of a stroke lets a drip through.
